Bhagawan beautifully uses the metaphor of a raindrop, its symbolic
perseverance in the ceaseless cycle of its rising from the sea,
becoming a raindrop and returning to the sea, to explain spiritual
patience in the presence of God.

The rain drop has come from the sea; wherever it falls, it yearns to
reach the sea, its source. When it falls on some hard ground and gets
lost, it again rises in evaporation and becomes a rain drop again. It
has no peace, until it merges in the sea. It is happy, when it joins a
stream or a river that flows towards the sea. Man is the rain drop;
the urge to reach the source,namely, the Lord is in everyone. Some
achieve that Goal quick, some late. But, all must reach it.
