Mr. Mohammed, a financial consultant by profession, was at a very young age plagued by deep spiritual questions. And this quest and strong belief that Islam is more universal than it is understood today, lead him to explore beyond the bounds of his religion and culture. But how did Bhagawan enter his life? How did he, though taught to worship Allah as formless, come to accept the concept of an Avatar? He says, “As a Muslim I always knew God as formless. I wondered how to reconcile to the fact that the formless Allah was Sai Baba!... This conflict was so strong; the confusion and frustration lasted for weeks and months. It gave me sleepless nights.”
