We, the pilgrims towards God, are in various stages of evolution. Swami says that He treats every one as same. He never looks at our distorted mind. He only see the good in us and hence Love all of us without any distinction. For Him, a highly evolved Yogi and a criminal are one and the same. Hence he revealed to a visitor, his heinous crime and asked him to surrender before the Police accepting his crime. He murdered somebody some twenty years ago and escaped punishment by donning the robe of a sadhu. Saibaba exposed his mistake in the interview room, but promised him that He will save him from the gallows of death. Though hesitant in the beginning, he believed Swami's words and surrendered to the Police, accepting his heinous crime committed long ago. He was tried and the court has given him the capital punishment, "death by hanging". However he filed a mercy petition to the President who can commute the death sentence to life imprisonment. By the Divine grace and as predicted by Baba, his death sentence was converted to rigorous life imprisonment. He spent the entire period praying on Swami, reading his teachings, chanting the Divine names and singing songs on god. His exemplary behavior earned him a place of honor in the hearts of co-prisoners and the Police. His life imprisonment too was shortened due to his exemplary behavior. Not only that, many prisoners and Police officers learned about Saibaba and His miraculous powers and no doubt, many become Swami's devotees. After his release, he came straight to Baba who gave him an opportunity to lead a holy life thereafter. He was given a fitting duty to perform for the Lord!
