Mrs. Indira Hewlett came to Swami in the 1960s as a six-year-old and had many personal interactions with Swami. Mrs. Hewlett and her family received Swami's guidance in worldly and spiritual matters, including meditation. Swami advised her in career choice to be a scientist and led her to the current position as the Lab Chief in the U S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) where she has worked for more than 25 years.
Mr. Lee Hewlett served in Puttaparthi for five years in various capacities, including house privilege, Divine Discourse translation, and overseeing overseas Sai guests, during the 1970s.
