Below is a Wonderful Personal experience of Brother Anantha Vijaya, alumni,
SSSIHL...

Swami has transformed many Street Dogs into Street Lights and I am one among
them.

The above line was a part of my speech given at Kodaikanal at the Divine Lotus
Feet on the Divine command.

By the grace of Swami, my talk was going on full swing and Swami who was
listening to my talk, objected to the above lines and said “Do not compare
yourself with a dog”…. I had to stop my talk for a while……..There was one
saint, among the gathering, one Bhoomananda Swami who supported me saying that
“In front of Shankara (Swami), one has to be like a Kinkara (Servant)……... But
Swami did not agree comparing a human being with a dog, though I did it for
myself.

When I was doing my MSc in Osmania University, one of my seniors who was an
atheist and a theatre actor influenced me a lot……... He used to keep on
advising me thus “Ananth, you lost your father at an early age and all through
you have been facing only troubles without any support from any corner to build
your carreer and what is that Sai Baba has done to you, this is all trash……...
Forget all this”…….. The words slowly started sinking in me and I have removed
Swami’s photo that was hanging in my hostel room and kept it in the shelf……...
This went on for 2-3 months (Now I wonder as to how I could speak like this
infront of Swami).

One morning, in the hostel, I had breakfast and picked up a news paper and saw
a news caption in it “Sai Baba in City”……….. I could not resist, I went to
‘Sivam’ where Swami stays…….. As I reached Sivam, discourse of Bhagawan has
already started and there was not even an inch space available in Sivam………I was
standing on the road listening to the discourse……..Swami was mentioning “When
everything goes on well with you, you extol me as Sai Shankara etc and if
something goes wrong, you will remove my photo and keep it in the
cupboard”………After the discourse, I went back to room installed the photo back
in the place and never looked back.

Though my talk was in English, I had quoted the above of Swami in original
Telugu, Swami stopped me and asked me to say that quote also in English.
