Dharma protects you when you practise it. Bhagavan said in the Gita
"Dharma-Samsthapanaarthaaya Sambhavami Yuge Yuge" - In every Yuga or age, I am
taking birth for the sake of establishing Dharma. In fact, Dharma is eternal,
and is present at all times, present, past and future. What then is the
necessity for establishing it? It simply means that people are not practising
it and Krishna wanted to restore or re-establish the practice of Dharma.
