Every Action Has a Consequence
The law of karma is inexorable: If you commit a wrong deed, you or your loved ones will have to pay the price. The Hindu scriptures explain the science of human evolution through the ten avatars (incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Life begins in water—the fish avatar: then the amphibian—the tortoise: then the animal--the boar: then the evolved animal–the lion- man: then the underdeveloped man- -the dwarf: then the native man-- man in the forest (Parasuram); then the one who rules other men—the king (Rama); then the man of higher intelligence, the man above the men (Krishna): the ninth stage being 'the evolved consciousness' and finally the tenth merging back with Existence...becomes one with Existence. Paying the Price In the sixth avatar, surrendering to the call of his father. Parasuram beheads his own mother. In the seventh avatar. Rama pays the price for Parasuram's action. Rama surrenders to the call of his mother and thereby gets separated from his father. He goes into exile for 14 years. Rama hides behind a tree and kills Vali. the monkey, with an arrow. In the eighth avatar. Krishna pays the price for Rama's action. A hunter mistakes Krishna for a bird behind a tree and kills him with an arrow. The unspoken message here is: The law of Karma is as simple as Newton's law–:For every: action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.' or as Christ put it, 'Whatever a man soweth. that shall he also reap.' Every action has a consequence. There is no such thing as an action without a consequence. Many believe that Jesus Christ gave up his life on the cross to pay the karmic debt of all the apostles who surrounded him. Each time he cured diseases, each time he saved someone from the brink of death, he was voluntarily accepting the karmic debt of others. Many disciples also believe that Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa accepted the karmic debt of his disciples and, as a result, died a painful death (by cancer). The bottom line is: You or someone who loves you will have to either pay for or enjoy the pay- off of all your actions. So, instead of doing wrong, evil, or bad actions, and making ourselves and our loved ones suffer in the process, can we not choose only the right, the virtuous and the good. and make ourselves and our loved ones enioy life as it unfolds'? -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "saimsg" group.
