Story Behind this Photo – 108 (Swami, Shall I speak on “Medical Miracles†?) Dr. Viswanathan Mohan is an eminent Indian Diabetologist who has been working in the field of diabetes for over 30 years in Chennai. Dr. Mohan is the Chairman and Chief of Diabetology at Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre. More than this, He is a staunch devotee of Bhagavan Baba, and is the convener of Sri Sathya Sai Trust, in Tamail Nadu. I am very proud to be his personal friend for many years. After a multiple by-pass heart surgery in Apollo Hospital Chennai, the Doctors could not control my rising sugar level and was recklessly using insulin doses.� I got panicky and called up Dr. Mohan’s personal mobile Number. He was in Hyderabad, but he suggested that I should get discharged and straight away get admitted in His Hospital. I just followed his instructions and next morning he was in Chennai examining me. It was less than a week after heart surgery, and I was still recovering. Dr. Mohan fixed my sugar leval problem within two days. He walked into my room, followed by a group of about 9 other doctors and other hospital staff. �Some of them were doing Fellowship, under him. He went through my case file and took immediate decision on the course of treatment.� To my surprise, He relaxed himself and sat down on a chair. He told me that these doctors are not much exposed to Sai Baba, and requested me to speak about my experiences especially the Mangala Suthra episode of my wife.� My wife showed them the Mangala �Suthra materialized by Bhagavan on my 60th Birthday. She hesitated to allow me to speak immediately after the heart surgery. Dr. Mohan smiled and assured her, that he is a medical man and will ensure safety for me. For the next 45 minutes, it was sathsangh in the private ward of a hospital! All of them �listened with rapt attention. Later Dr. Mohan explained about his own Personal Interview granted by Bhagavan after taking over as Trust Convener. Now the title story of “Medical Miracle†.:- I have just enough space for one such story which was� narrated by Dr. Mohan, in Divine presence, on 13th April 2008. One of the patients admitted in his hospital had a very complicated surgery, to remove a heavily solidified abyss in his anal area. Post operation, �the patient developed severe pain. Doctor had prescribed maximum medicines as pain killer, which had no effect at all. The doctors could not decide what course of action could be taken. Dr. Mohan was taking leave of this patient before going home, but could not help relieve him of the severe pain. He thought of Bhagavan Baba. He had in his fingers a ring blessed by Swami. He asked the patient to close his eyes, and kept the ring on his forehead, in between his eyes, and prayed to Bhagavan.� In no time, the patient went into deep sleep. Next day, when Dr. Mohan was going rounds in the wards, he found the patient still sleeping.� When he woke up he asked the Doctor what medicine he had given the previous night, and he was happy that the pain had miraculously vanished. Doctor said, we had not given any medicine at all. Then again he asked what he� did after asking him to close eyes. Doctor replied that he just prayed to his God. The patient was a Muslim, and he believed the doctor and His prayers. Doctor Mohan fully�� believed that it was the Divine mercy which had helped removal of the extreme pain without any medication. Later, on another occasion, Dr. Mohan prayed to Bhagavan to bless the ring once again to recharge it with �more Divine power, and Bhagavan smiling obliged by keeping his Hands on the ring.
