Gratitude...!!!
Friday, June 7th, 2013
A day in darshan line...awaiting His arrival...receiving Him...watching Him
through...enjoying every bit of His Presence...and every extra bit coming from
Him as Supreme Grace... When you watch Him without realising Him...without
going deep to understand His full potency...you are tempted to take it most
casually... but when you make yourself aware with the thought that He is the
One Who is the Source behind everything...Who is the Light behind all
lights...Who is the One Who has neither any beginning nor an end...and at Whose
Feet all the millions of Brahmands end up...you will end up with welling
gratitude...yes, for all that He has given...is giving and is assured for
future...we need to be Grateful...!!! ...a poem by GB, Australia...
I saw A Man...
His Voice was sweet, like Nectar,
(When it flows!)
And, when He spoke, the words fell, soft,
Like dew-drops on a Rose;
His step was firm where'er He walked...
His Foot-prints... shining-bright,
And, tho' gentle was His Touch,
He was A Man of Might!
And, like A Halo round His Head,
He wore His coal-black hair;
And Love, just like a sweet Bouquet,
Was offered everywhere!
He brought a new un-clouded
View unto my human-eyes,
And, tho' I knew not whence He came,
I knew The Man was Wise!
The graceful Robe, around His Form,
caressed Him...
Like a Flame,
And then, I learned from a passer-by,
`Sai Baba' was His Name!
I sat among the growing throng...
And, eagerly, I sought to understand
His mystery...
That filled my every thought;
I saw Him heal an ailing child...
And, soon...
The Name of 'Sathya Sai' was chanted,
EVERYWHERE!
And, silent, as a passing breeze,
And bare-of-foot... He trod,
And 'something' whispered in my soul
"This is not Man... BUT GOD!"
The years have passed on restless wings,
And, strong; the Bond remains...
And, when I cannot understand,
He silently explains!
There is no 'goal' I can't achieve...
No load I cannot bear
As long as (in my human way!)
I see His Footsteps there!
His Smile is Something
I recall with tenderness .... and awe!
For me... He spreads a Shining Path,
And opens every door...
Today...
I kneel in Gratitude,
As tear-drops fill my eye,
And, whisper-soft, I speak the words
"I LOVE YOU, SATHYA SAI..."

Constant Presence...
Friday, June 7th, 2013
For an earnest seeker HE IS the Eternal Companion, inspiring and guiding
him/her at every step, every moment, with His Constant Presence. Charles Penn
from the US shares an interesting experience, narrating how God 'bends down' to
reach out an earnest seeker, airing His Words of Assurance...Words of Wisdom.
Extracted from Sanathana Sarathi, February 1967.
Just knowing that we are watched over every minute, every moment, and with the
ceaseless sound of the Aum booming deep within reminding us to "Have no fear,
for I Am near," takes from life anxiety and worry and leaves us to do His Work
as His True Instrument.
During Sivaratri in 1966, Bhagawan bestowed many blessings upon this devotee.
He not only found him employment in a wondrous way but also appeared before him
during meditation. I had hardly closed my eyes. He came through the entrance
door and stood, saying, "I have just been to Africa" and so saying He joyfully
and with flowing hair sat on the rug. One knew in an instant that it was Baba;
in a few moments, which seemed like an age, He was away.

Again on November 30, 1966, during the blissful depths of meditation this
devotee found himself looking into the bright sunshine at Puttaparthi. Standing
close and at first only showing His colourful robe, one knew that instant of
Baba's Presence. Then He moved His hand as if to take something from the fold
of His robe. Bending low and with a happy and joyful smile He held in that
precious Hand an envelope which He shook vigorously at my eye level. He knew
that in a sitting position He would have to bend low for me to see what was
happening. From His action it was deduced that the Bhagawan had taken care of
some important thing and that the envelope which appeared to contain something
bulky like a Rudraksha symbolised this Good Deed. With the deepening yearning
to visit His Grace at Prasanthi Nilayam this instant transportation remedied
the wish in a flash.
A few days after this miraculous event another devotee from Los Angeles arrived
at Prasanthi Nilayam to be greeted, by Baba, with "California? Charles Penn."
Upon leaving a week or so later Sai Baba handed the devotee a letter with the
parting words "For Charles Penn, with My Love."
Sharing with you the contents of that letter is now a great pleasure. The
letter dated December 9, 1966, read in part...

"I Am very happy that everyone (at Pacific Palisades, Calif.) is sincerely
striving to achieve spiritual progress. I know how earnest you all are; that
earnestness will certainly be rewarded.
"Know that I Am always with you, prompting you and guiding you. I know also
that you are aware of this. Live always in that CONSTANT PRESENCE. Love and
Truth are the two wings that take an individual forward. They will inspire you
to serve all righteously and lovingly, just as you would serve the Lord. This
is the highest form of Practical Spirituality.
"Be writing to Me, about yourself and friends. I have been getting letters from
most of them. My blessings are ever with them.
With Blessings - SAI BABA"

When God gives a task, He also gives the strength to complete it
>From Aravind Balasubramanya
Dear all,
PART 3 FINALLY
Thursday is "Thirst" Day says Swami!
As a corollary, any day when one feels a pining and thirst for the Lord becomes
the holy Thursday which is so special for Swami and Sai devotees.
On this Thursday, let us read through the thrilling finish of SSSIHMS asst.
director Praveen's education saga in the US. When Swami showers love and grace,
it is simply overwhelming...
The problem is, reading such stories only increases the Thirst for Swami
instead of quenching it. Isn't it?

'SATHYA SAI WITH STUDENTS' BLOG UPDATE - WEEK 38

Sai Ram,

We present before the readers articles for Week 38 of the 'Sathya Sai with
Students' Blog:

1. As the new academic year commences at the Sri Sathya Sai Educational
Institutions, Swami gives Divine Directions to students about His expectations
from them. In a similar interaction in June 1997, Swami assured the students:
"All of You are Rama", and that all should behave as per the ideals set by Him.

2. Brother Anush Mohan writes on the theme: 'When Swami visited USA to cure my
grandmother'.

3. This is the mango season and Swami would always distribute mangoes in
abundance to the students. We have one such conversation with Swami in the
verandah in June 1997.

4. We continue the series of articles under the section 'Management Lessons'
wherein Swami gives Divine Guidelines on Organisational Issues. Part 2 of this
series focusses on Unnecessary Expenditure in corporations.
