She first traveled to Mexico, then across the USA, and finally to India in 1968 where she performed severe austerities and met with many spiritual Masters and Yogis. After many adventures as a penniless Sadhu she arrived at Prasanthi Nilayam with her sister Marsha on 6 March 1970. Ms. India has devoted her life to non-profit organizations. Visionary and founder of Feathered Pipe Foundation in Helena, Montana, one of the oldest Yoga retreat centers in the U.S, she has been actively involved in running it for over 38 years. What began as the Holistic Life Foundation in 1975 with a vision for a better future, the Feathered Pipe Foundation today offers retreats and workshop experiences that help people to discover their path, guided by some of the world’s finest teachers in a relaxed, nature-drenched setting. Since 1975, over 10,000 people have studied at the Feathered Pipe workshops. Ms. India's goal is to make a difference in the world by creating and implementing education programs. Ms. Marsha Supera's world travels began in 1968. Along with her sister India she also met Swami for the first time on 6 March 1970. Both the sisters have spent much time in Prasanthi and Brindavan ashrams in the early years. Today Ms. Marsha comes back every year to what she calls her real home, Puttaparthi. Ms. Marsha too lives in Helena, Montana, and does volunteer work in the U.S and India. Her favorite service is cutting vegetables in the Western Canteen.
