August 21st 1986, became yet another significant milestone in the career of the 
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. Bhagavan Baba, the Revered Founder 
Chancellor of the Institute, inaugurated the Master’s degree course in Business 
Administration this day.

An Alumni Meet of the School of Business Management, Accounting and Finance 
(SBMAF) of Sri Sathya Sai Institute was held at Prashanti Nilayam between 20th 
to 22nd August 2005. This Meet was arranged by the Institute as part of the 
80th Birthday celebrations of Bhagavan and also to celebrate the 20th 
anniversary of the Management Programme at the Institute which was inaugurated 
by Bhagavan on August 21, 1986.

Bhagavan granted Darshan in Sai Kulwant Hall at 3.45 pm, on 20th afternoon. The 
programme commenced with Vedic chanting. Sri A.V. Gokak, Vice Chancellor of the 
Institute and two alumni of the Institute Sri N. Sudhindran and Sri Sanjay 
Mahalingam, delivered the introductory speeches. Bhagavan then gifted 
carpentary, electrical and plumbing tool kits to a select group of 80 needy 
youth to provide them the means of employment. He also gave them clothes. 
Bhagavan blessed the souvenir entitled ‘Fragrance’ brought out by the alumni 
and the staff of SBMAF on this occasion.

This was followed by a brilliant panel discussion organised by the alumni on 
the theme ‘Man Management-The Key to Managerial Success’. The panelists were 
the alumni of SBMAF: Sri T.N. Giridhar, Director, SSG Capital Ltd., London; Sri 
Sai Narain, Vice President and Country Marketing Director, Citi Bank, Taipei, 
Taiwan; Sri A.Raghavendra, Head-Supply Chain Management (South), Corporate 
Banking, HDFC Bank, Chennai; Sri Karthik Shenoi, CEO, ICAM Solutions Private 
Ltd. Bangalore; Sri Vijaya Krishnan, Proprietor- Managing Partner, Kavi 
Infotech, Trichy; and Sri Aneesh Mohan, Consultant, Polaris, Chennai. The 
Moderator of the Panel was Sri V. Krishnamoorthy, Channel Manager, Sify India - 
Sathyam Group, Chennai. Bhagavan sat through the entire programme of over an 
hour and blessed them at the conclusion.

Bhagavan arrived in Sai Kulwant Hall at 8.05 am on 21st morning. The alumni 
presented a musical programme titled, ‘Yaadein’. Sri Subramaniam, a doctoral 
research scholar of the Institute, in his speech referred to the declaration of 
Bhagavan about the aim of this Management Programme, during the inauguration of 
this Course. Sri Amar Vivek and Sri Ashok Sundaresan, alumni of the first batch 
of the MBA and MFM programmes of the Institute addressed the gathering.  
Bhagavan came to Sai Kulwant Hall at 3 pm. The alumni presented a drama 
entitled ‘Karishye Vachanam Tava’. At the end of the drama, Bhagavan had 
photographs taken with them. On 22nd morning, Bhagavan blessed the seven 
students with a personal interview who took part in the panel discussion and 
later blessed all the 500 alumni in the Bhajan Mandir, showering His bountiful 
Grace on them.
