A Simple Prayer

My Sweet Lord who stands by me in every moment, to you I speak... Give me
the wisdom to know and believe that whatever I fear so much is in reality my
weakness in loving myself and honoring You fully and completely within me....
before I tear, give me the grace to remember to smile... before I run here and
there to receive and keep, let me stand still and offer instead whatever I have
to Thee... before I complain.... before I ask for what You have already given,
let me be grateful and pend moments of restlessness in prayer and in praise of
Your grace.... before I begin to depend on someone or something, let me follow
Your ways.... cherish Your love, and play with sincerity Your game of love...
and if I become weak even for a moment, let me remember that I am a part of you
who holds within my soul the breath of God... Your breath, O Lord, that fills
me with the goodness of pure love that I have come to live...
