Sunday, September 09, 1973

Onam, an important festival of the Keralites, was celebrated at Prashanti
Nilalyam on this day. Thousands of devotees from Kerala congregated at the
Lotus Feet for the celebrations. Swami blessed them with His Darshan and Onam
message at 8 am. He explained to them the significance of Onam celebrations.

Justice Balakrishna Eradi (subsequently appointed Chief Justice of the Kerala
High Court and also Judge of the Supreme Court of India) and Dr. K. Bhaskaran
Nair (Director of Collegiate Education; Secretary of Sahitya Academy and Member
of Kendra Sahitya Academy) offered their gratitude to Swami on behalf of all
the devotees of Kerala.

Swami distributed Laddu Prasadam to the devotees with His own hands. Swami
granted all the devotees the coveted Pada Namaskar that evening.
