Many thanks for your prompt response and for your spontaneous offer to assist . It's true that Sis Emanuela ( literal meaning "god with you " ) has truly dedicated her life and meagre pensions entirely on animal welfare . I have visited her animal shelter at the outskirts of Puttaparthi along with Surendra Shetty a few years ago. Almost all the 50 plus dogs and an equal number of cats , are unfortunate creatures who are either accident victims, or suffering from terminal illness etc . She does not even have a proper residence or even a bed room for her personal use and sleeps among the destitute animals She spends her entire pension on the maintenance and day to day expenses of the animal orphanage . She returned to Italy a few months ago to visit her family . She is a Sai devotee since the past over 30 odd years and perhaps overstayed in India , for almost 20 odd years , out of concern for the animals , without having her Visa extended properly. Problem was that her original passport, containing the Indian Visa stamp, was lost or inadvertently destroyed As you can see from my email to her , I have advised her to make sure that she has a proper long term visa for entry and stay in India , before she returns . I have also requested her to advise approx economy airfare . Please do not send any funds right now . Later ,if she manages to obtain a proper Visa for long term stay in India , we could jointly chip in as follows A ) fund her one way economy class air fare from Italy B) if and whenever possible support her to meet the monthly expenses for buying medicines, milk, vegetable, rice etc for the animals C) build for her personal use a basic one bedroom with bath room and toilet attached, mosquito screen etc . We can perhaps take Surendra shetty,Mario and his Russian friend's assistance in using environment friendly materials . I will keep you updated on this rare Seva opportunity ,from time to time . I am aware that you, Remaji as well all the other Bangaroos , to whom I am copying this email, are regularly doing enormous of charitable work , silently and without any publicity . So ,please do not consider this email as a solicitation for funds on behalf of Emanuela .
