Sri Sathya Sai in the Clouds - By Manish Sharma
"I am everywhere"
This incident took place about two years ago. My father who is a pilot in the
Indian Airlines had a wonderful experience which shows that Swami is everywhere
and rescues when His Bhakta surrenders to Him fully. Once, my father was doing
one of his flights from Delhi to Srinagar and back to Delhi via Jammu and
Chandigarh. All was set. He said “Sai Ram” and started from that place. All
went well till he reached Srinagar. That day the weather in Delhi started
becoming cloudy. This was informed to my father in the Srinagar airport. He
stayed in Srinagar for one day, and started for Jammu. He left Srinagar in the
morning at around 10 am. He landed in Jammu and then in Chandigarh. He then
started for Delhi. This was the time when the whole trouble started. The
aircraft was caught in the clouds and it started shaking from left to right and
from right to left. The passengers started complaining about the disturbance.
But my father and the other pilot saw in the radar that they entered into a
belt of clouds. He asked the passengers to fasten their seat belts and he
resumed the journey. Swami had given a ring to my father and had told him,
“Whenever you are in trouble remember Me.” My father looked at the ring and
appealed to Swami in his mind, “Swami, I am leaving all to You.” And to his
surprise, he saw the clouds making way for the plane. An arch door opened and
he saw a green light which would show him the way through the clouds. Sometime
later he could see the Delhi airport just below the plane. He circled around
the airport some time to lose the altitude and landed safely.
The passengers thanked the pilots and God while getting down. My father also
thanked Swami for saving the life of the passengers.
When my father returned home he narrated what had happened that day. This is
how Swami protects His devotees, when they surrender to Him. We should remember
our Lord Sai always for He alone can help us cross the ocean of Samsara.
