During the years, he received direct guidance from Swami on many occasions. As a student he was an accomplished singer and actor, and participated in many music programs and plays presented to Swami. Swami Himself directed him in plays on Shankaracharya and Jesus Christ. He accompanied Bhagawan on many trips including the memorable Kashmir trip. In 1981, Dr. Rupak was blessed by Swami to render 'Sai Katha' (Sai's story), the divine life story of His Avatarhood, along with playback singer Mrs. P. Susheela, in Chennai. Dr. Sarojini Alva Changkakoti was blessed to have been raised in Swami's divine physical proximity. As a child she spent most of her time in Brindavan and Prasanthi Nilayam. She is a Naturopath and Reiki Master, and has specialized in counseling, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, regression therapy, and other healing arts under renowned masters, Dr. Winifred Blake Lucas, Dr. Henry Leo Baldduc and Dr. Chipps. She is a member of the executive board of the Hypno-birthing Institute New Hampshire and Arizona, USA. Dr. Sarojini is also the founding President of the Alva Wellness Center, a holistic healing center. She travels around the world offering workshops and training in holistic healing.
