The conference titled “Fundamentals of Echocardiography” was inaugurated by the Director of SSSIHMS, Dr. Choudary D. Voleti at the hospital at Prashantigram.Theprogramme is conducted by the Departments of Cardiology of SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram and SSSIHMS, Whitefield, in partnership with GE Healthcare, the healthcare arm of the General Electric. A unique aspect of this conference is the hands-on training to the delegates using state-of-the-art echocardiography machines by experts in the field. Apart from the conventional 2-Dimensional echo machines GE Healthcare provided high-end 3-Dimensional and 4-Dimensional echo machines for the conference. The conference is designed to provide individualized attention to participants and take them from the basic level of echocardiography training to the advanced level.
