Sri Sathya Sai in Trayee Brindavan

Friday, April 27, 2001

Turning to Brindavan Warden, Sri B. N. Narasimhamurthy…

Swami : Tell the good news. (Swami told the news softly to Warden.)

Warden : I have good news to share with you all. We have a student who has
completed B.Sc. and M.Sc. at our Institute, and Swami has now blessed him to
work on the Heart-Lung machine in the Super Speciality Hospital at Whitefield.
His mother had a tumour in the stomach for the last 30 years. No doctor wanted
to operate it. She was admitted in our General Hospital last night.

Swami : Not yesterday, this morning. The tumour was removed this morning. There
was no pain at all. (Swami asked the student to get up. To all the boys) This
boy’s mother. (To the student) What did you pass?

Student : Swami, M.Sc.

Swami : What work you do in the Hospital?

Student : Swami, I am incharge of the Heart-Lung machine.

Swami : Even he didn’t know about the operation. At 1.30 pm, they rang up from
the Super Speciality Hospital for blood. He came to know then and took the
blood. (To the student) Have you seen your mother?

Student : Yes, Swami.

Swami : Be happy. (Swami then sat on the Jhoola.) Where is Dilshad Khan?

(To Brindavan Warden) You didn’t call him?

B. Warden : Shall I call him?

Swami : (Indicating Sri V. Srinivasan) All India Organisation Chairman.

(Sri V. Srinivasan came forward. To the Brindavan Warden) Introduce him. Great
business man, world-renowned, and has been with Swami for over 30 years.
(Brindavan Warden introduced Sri Srinivasan. When he mentioned that even Sri
Srinivasan’s father was a devotee of Swami)

His father built South Prasanthi. Not with bricks or stone.

Warden then shared that South Prasanthi was built out of precast blocks. Sri
Srinivasan took Namaskar and started to speak. In the middle of his speech,
Swami asked him to tell about (Prince) Charles. Sri Srinivasan then spoke about
how Price Charles, during his visit to India, had specially enquired about
Swami from him (when he was the President of the Confederation of Indian
Industry). Swami blessed Sri Srinivasan after his speech. Swami then called a
teacher.

Swami : Speak about the summer vacations when you went to your place.

(Before the teacher started, to a student) Going to London?

Student : No, Swami.

When the teacher started his speech addressing, “Dear Brothers”, Swami
interjected telling, “No sisters?” He told the Sanskrit Shloka starting, “Tyaja
Durjana Samsargam, Bhaja Sadhu Samagamam”, Swami completed it, “Kuru
Punyamahoratram…” Swami blessed the teacher after his speech. Swami got up from
the Jhoola saying, “Hmm… Get up.”

Aarti was offered at 5.30 pm. Swami spoke to a Hospital Boy while going back.
While handing over Prasadam trays to the students, Swami picked and showed the
day’s Prasadam – mango. He picked a mango, cut across the students and gave it
to Sri Ashok Singhal, President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) who was
standing there.
