"One has to understand the implications of oneness with the Divine. One desires to merge in God and achieve liberation. How is this to be secured? God is formless. He is the source of all energy. He is effulgent. Eight kinds of potencies have been attributed to God. He is the source of all sound, all motion, all light, all speech, all bliss, all excellence, all illusion, and all prosperity. How is one to realize such an omnipotent Divinity? Water can integrate with water. Air can combine with air. Fire can merge with fire. As God is formless, to become one with God we have to become formless. What does this imply? It means that we have to get rid of the attachment to the body. This is achieved through meditation. While retaining attachment to the body one cannot hope to achieve oneness with God merely by praying for it. You have to become formless to realize the formless Divine." SS August 1997 P 199
Sai Ram, We made the journey to Muddenahalli on November 13 hoping to hear a discourse from Baba. Just before we left, we learned that it had been announced that Sukshma Baba would give discourses on Thursday and Sundays. We do not know for how long. Because of the larger expected crowds, bhajans was mover to Prem Deep. There were about 120 guests mostly from Puttaparthi. All of who sat in chairs with woman on the left and men were on the right. The students of the campus sat on the floor in front of the chairs. A red carpet went from Baba’s chair up the middle. Some women sat outside in chairs looking in through the open windows. Prem Deep has many windows. Almost all of the wall space from the middle to the back and in the back was taken up with windows. All of them were open. We sat in a beautiful white room that was elongated with an inside balcony from which Baba used to give darshan. His bedroom was right there on the first floor. As we waited in silence, the world seemed far away. At those moments, nothing mattered except being in that spot at that time feeling the energy, upliftment and a different consciousness. Silence was mandatory inside and strict policy of low voices outside the building as Sai Baba was in his bedroom on the first floor. There were many invisibles present including the ones known as angels. We enjoyed the peace that came. No world but Love. As bhajans were sung, there was a different kind of energy. Movement on the balcony indicated that Baba was coming. Soon his escorts came in the ground floor door to the bhajan room. Baba sat in his chair. We knew about where Baba was by the movement of people with him. While we didn’t see him with the physical eyes, his presence was felt in the room. The energy was different. Some people caught a momentary glimpse of the energy form surrounding Baba without seeing the form itself. Bhajans ended after about 30 minutes. Two speakers spoke telling interesting stories. More about the content of their speeches in another issue. They were great. The energy was light, humorous and uplifting. One speaker stated that Baba said that Puttaparthi was the holiest place in the universe since the avatar was born there. Sukshma Baba was persuaded to speak. This was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. Baba was seated in his chair which was in the center in the front as would be expected. With facing the front to the right was a lectern and on the left side there was a lectern. Madhusudhan who would transmit verbally exactly what Baba said stood at the right lectern partly facing Baba. His actions were more of a public address speaker as he concentrated on what was being said with an automatic rebroadcast of those words. He made a few gestures with his right hand. On the left side was Narasimha Murthy who would translate what was said in Telegu to English. He has a life long relationship with Baba having served in different positions on different campus. He regularly receives guidance and messages while asleep. Narasimha was very relaxed. At times, when what was being spoken in Telegu was funny, he would laugh before being able to tell us in English what was said. What was amazing was the rapidity of the translations of the messages. It was faster that anything I have heard in Prasanthi Nilayam or elsewhere. Even as Madhusudhan was finishing his rebroadcast, Narasimha was already speaking in English. As soon as he finished, there was another message in Telegu. The whole discourse was done in this manner. It was quick, seamless and easy on the ears. There was no need for pauses to figure out what Baba meant. We were so mesmerized by the process that we lost track of time. My guess is that it took 20 minutes. The sound system was superior so that words were clear even during bhajans. We had rain which at times was very heavy. However, it did not interfere with being able to hear. Prasad was distributed. After arati and moving of equipment out of the way, we were able to touch the chair and footstool. Baba had left before arati. As is the tradition, we had tiffin at 4:30 and after the bhajan/discourse food was served in the canteen. Needless to say, it was crowded. During my sitting in Prem Deep, we felt peace with calmness. After bhajans started, energy started moving in my body in a strange way. At one point it was so intense that we thought we would have to leave. Concentrating on it and relaxing within a short period of time, it was gone. It didn’t feel like a kundalini experience but more of a cleansing and/or a shifting. Some other information. In September, Sukshma Baba told Muddenahalli to build more accommodations for guests especially as there will be many people coming in November. It seems as though that is happening. On November 6 and 13 about 15 to 20 taxis brought people from Puttaparthi for bhajans and discourse. In speaking with a few people they expressed the feeling of power and Love they felt. Although they didn’t physical see him, they felt his energy. One person who walked down the long driveway saw Sathya Sai standing there and Prema Sai as a 3 year old child. Another person wrote about her experience when attending bhajans about a year ago saw a form on energy but could quite see the actual form. There was no doubt to her that it was Sathya Sai. She said that it took all of her energy to restrain herself from running up to touch his feet. We find that some people disbelieving the experience. They will change as more people make contact. People who were in Singapore felt a powerful loving energy fill the place as Sathya Sai spoke through as usual through Madhusudhan. Baba gave a discourse, answered questions and spoke directly to one person about personal matters while materializing a ring for him. Other people had their questions answered mentally as they thought of them. It was said that it was reminiscent of private sessions in Brindavan. One person had a powerful cleansing which produced an intense physical reaction. Spiritual contemplation completed the cleansing. UPDATE A women's residential school campus has already been established in Karnataka and is functioning. Nine more women's residential schools will be established. A women's college will be built in Chickballapur next year. A total of 30 residential schools will be constructed with 7 already completed. Baba will construct 4 more hospitals. The Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Raipur was the first constructed by Sukshma Baba. (Attached) The experience of Sathya Sai Baba presence is correctly call Sukshma Shareera. We have already discussed Sukshma. Shareera is a special term that means body Baba appearing as the Sukshma Shareera is a special event that may not have ever had happened in human history before. All those that experience it have earned the right from past lives along with grace. Many people who do not realize what has happened are thinking of it as just another special event. It is way more than that. Take Care.
