" WALK FOR VALUES " - A WALK FOR PROPAGATING HUMAN VALUES. ’It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that a Unique “Walk for values” programme is being organised by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation in Puttaparthi on 14-12-2014 (Sunday) from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This special programme is organised in 445 places in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at the same time today. The main purpose of conducting this walk is to promote Human and Spiritual values in the common public on the lines of the Five fundamental principles of Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema and Ahimsa as advocated by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba throughout his life. The teachers and students dressed in pure white accompanied by Balvikas gurus and devotees displayed placards with quotes of Bhagavan like “MONEY COMES AND GOES; MORALITY COMES AND GROWS”, “HAVE CONSTRUCTIVE THOUGHTS, CONSOLING WORDS, COMPASSIONATE ACTS”, “LOVE ALL- SERVE ALL”, HELP EVER- HURT NEVER”, “THE END OF KNOWLEDGE IS LOVE. THE END OF EDUCATION IS CHARACTER etc., Students took pledge that they would practice at least one or more of the following values make the world richer and healthier filled with Human values and ethics.: - LOVE: caring, compassion, reverence, forgiveness, generosity, kindness, enthusiasm, tolerance, dedication, devotion, unity. - PEACE: contentment, discipline, humility, patience, satisfaction, self-control, self-confidence, self-respect, understanding, modesty. - TRUTH: honesty, integrity, optimism, excellence. - NON – VIOLENCE: gentleness, consideration, moderation, co-operation, brotherhood, equality - RIGHT- CONDUCT: courtesy, gratitude, perseverance, determination, responsibility, sacrifice, initiative, leadership, courage, duty and ethics. Radiosai Is pleased to give you some glimpses of the "walk for values " in Puttaparthi which started at Sri Pedda Venkamma Raju Kalyana Manadapam near Hanuman Temple junction and continued up to Vidya Giri Arch. Then the students and participants made a return trip and the walk concluded at Kalyana Manadapam where it took off which was followed by Aarthi to Bhagawan Baba.
