Swami : Is there examination today?

Student : Yes, Swami. There is English exam.

Swami : Then why did you all come for morning Darshan? Early morning time is
very good for studies. Without any disturbance, you can study in the hostel.
Actually, elders are not guiding you properly. They will encourage you to ask
for Poornachandara sessions etc. Instead, they must make you aware of Swami’s
busy schedule. How many devotees are coming, how many VIPs are waiting to speak
to Swami, how many letters Swami receives! We should give chance for others…
Then we can aspire for our chances. Such type of information should be given to
students. (To a teacher) Teachers give difficult questions at the very
beginning of the question paper. As a result, students get discouraged and they
won’t be able to answer easy ones also. Instead, if they give easy questions at
the beginning, students will be encouraged and gain more confidence. As a
result, they can fare well. (After the interview, to a student who was holding
a groundnut bowl…)

Swami : Why are you not studying?

Student : I am studying, Swami.

Swami : What are you studying…groundnuts?

Then Swami took groundnuts from the bowl, kept little in that student’s hands
and said, “This is for you” and then added little more and said, “This is for
your wife.” Swami took some more groundnuts and gave to another student.

Swami : Take half and give the other half to your Bharya. Do you know what
the meaning of Bharya is?

Student : Yes, Swami.

Swami : What?

Student : Wife, Swami (Saying this, the student smiled)

Swami : See Ra, Kitna Khushi! Enta Santosham! (How happy you are?)
(Laughing)

Evening

In the evening, Sai Chandana, Sai Darshan and Milk-serving students sat in
front with a card. When Swami came near them, they knelt down and showed the
card to Swami.

Swami : Show…show!

Student : Padanamaskar, Swami.

Swami : Show, show!

Student : Please, Swami. Padanamaskar.

Swami : Chesko (Take) (While all the students were taking Padanamaskar,
Swami noticed one student and asked) How is the ring? (The student
nodded his head in the affirmative)

Swami : (Jokingly) Dekho, Kal Ek Stone Gir Jata (Look, one stone will fall
off tomorrow)!!!

Student : No, Swami.

Swami : No? (Student smiled) Manchidi…Manchidi (Good…Good) Padanamaskar
Teesko (Take Padanamaskar) (Swami blessed him and moved forward. Swami asked a
XII std. student.) Examination over?

Student : Yes, Swami… Day before yesterday…English Exam.

Swami : When is your next exam?

Student : On 6th Swami… Economics.

Swami : No exam today?

Student : Swami, there is English exam for X class today.

Swami : No exam tomorrow?

Student : No, Swami.

Swami : How was the paper? (Referring to his English examination)

Student : Good, Swami.

Swami : English…Oh! Ram Mohan Rao (Higher Secondary School English Teacher)

Swami smiled mischievously and proceeded towards the ladies side.
