Story behind the photos – 194 – The God, The Power which attracts.

I was once most fortunate to join the caravan, during Swami’s travel from
Puttaparthi to Whitefield. The trip was decided suddenly on one fine morning
after morning Darshan was over. Swami asked Sri. T.G.KrishnaMurthi to drive the
car. I was alerted just few minutes before departure, with instructions that I
should also start immediately in my car, giving a lift to Mrs. KrishnaMurthi.
We waited outside Gopuram, so that we could join the Caravan as Swam cari
emerges out. Swami came out of Prashanthi Mandiram, but for few minutes the
other cars did not show up. I directed my driver to follow Swami’s car.

It was a wonderful trip. In the outskirts of Puttparthi, beyond Super
Specialty hospital, the other cars also caught up and joined the caravan. It
was a sight to see, thousands of devotees on either sides of the road, some
with folded hands, some showering flower petals, and some breaking coconuts in
front of Swami’s car. Following Swami’s car we hit the highways and was
proceeding towards Bangalore. The farmers working in the fields, and some
workers engaged in building works and every other ones ran up to the main road
to have glimpse of Swami inside the car. Who told them that Swami is coming
that way at that time? Those days there were no cell phones.

Same scenes can be seen in Puttaparthi also, whenever Swami goes out of Ashram
or coming back. Like small iron particles being attracted towards a massive
magnet, the devotees rushes to see Swami, even it be a glimpse, while passing
on a car. The famous Car Darshanam.

In a group interview Swami dealt with this matter. Swami said,

“in Thretha Yuga, whenever, the Gopikas heard the music sound coming out of
Krishna’s Flute, everyone dropped their work and rushed to have a look at
Krishna, who would be sitting under a tree, or on the banks of River Yamuna,
with flute on His lips. The Gopikas would be drawn to Krishna as if drawn by
a Magnet. The same Divine scenes are happening even now in Prashanthi Nilayam.
The God is known as one which attracts !!”
