THE CATHEDRAL OF CHRISTMAS JOY
Awe-inspiring decorations in Prasanthi Nilayam

Image removed by sender.

The whole of 2015 has seen a series of spectacular programmes in the Sai
Kulwant Hall. Now it looks like Christmas is going to be a fantabulous finale
of this year long 90th Birthday celebrations of our Beloved Bhagawan.

All you have to do is step into Sai Kulwant Hall and you can see the
difference! The entire arena now looks like a glorious cathedral! Never before
this magnificent hall resembled a resplendent church like it is now.

The planning for this gigantic endeavour started more than 9 months ago.
Several trips were made to Prasanthi by different teams to draw up the designs
and freeze on the final structure, colour and finish. Teams were formed in
India too to source certain materials locally as well as to coordinate this
entire effort.

A group of 215 volunteers from UK decided to be in Prasanthi Nilayam in turns
from December 4 onwards just to ensure that everything happens as planned. The
fabrication of the huge walls took nearly two months. Plus of course there are
a million other things – tiny bells to huge stars, tall christmas trees to
golden and yellow drapes and balls, angels, christmas folly, paintings,
pictures and so on.

Joining the UK Sai devotees were Sai brothers and sisters from South Africa who
have taken up the decoration of entire Prasanthi Nilayam ashram with all its
buildings, trees and corners.

There are still one more day to go and we have no clue how heavenly this Abode
of our Divine Father is going look like! The theme everywhere is the same: “I
and My Father are One”.

Just to give you a glimpse, here are a few beautiful snaps.

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2015

What is the purpose of the birth of a Saint, Prophet or Divine incarnation? How
should we celebrate? Bhagawan exhorts us with His sweet words today.

Image removed by sender.

God is the Eternal Power, omnipotent and omniscient. He is the cause and
consequence - the potter, the clay and the pot. Without God, there is no
Universe. God willed and the Universe happened, as His play, a manifestation of
His power. Human beings embo...dy His Will, His power, His Wisdom. But, they
are unaware of this glory as the cloud of ignorance veils the Truth. Hence God
sends saints and prophets, and even appears as an Advent to unveil the Truth,
and to awaken and liberate mankind. Two thousand years ago, when narrow pride
and thick ignorance defiled mankind, Jesus came as the embodiment of love and
compassion, and lived amongst people, holding forth the highest ideals of life.
‘Christmas’ truly means the ‘Mass, held on the birthday of Christ’. It is a
very sacred religious rite. To deal with it as a festival for drinking and
dancing is very wrong. Spend Christmas in prayer.

- Divine Discourse 24 Dec 1980.

You must think of God and offer prayers at least four times a day - at dawn, at
noon, at sunset and before going to bed. This is the food for your soul.-BABA.

Christmas Eve Shines In Prasanthi Nilayam…

Thursday, December 24th, 2015

The mass ‘festive’ appeal of Christmas earns a unique distinction in Prasanthi
Nilayam every winter, as here, in The House Of The Supreme Lord, the festivity
distinctly turns out to be a joyous celebration of the Truth Of Oneness, the
Truth that Jesus proclaimed to the world at large. Driven by the spirit of
Eternal Religion, Christmas in Prasanthi always begins in typical Indian
fashion, with 3 Aumkars, only to evolve to gentle ‘Western’.

Celebrating the joyous occasion, wishing peace on Earth and goodwill to men,
beseeching The Lord praising His Bundle Of Joy, over 380 choristers from 50
countries presented the Christmas Eve’s traditional choir this evening here, in
Prasanthi Nilayam.

Earlier, International Christmas Committee Coordinator Tom Lehoy lit the
traditional Christmas Candle along with John Behner commencing the proceedings
of the beautiful Christmas Eve.

The Choir that followed had 18 hymns – a bouquet of carols, devotional and
prayers, singing paeans to The Divine Father-Son duo. Ms Krishnaveni, an Indian
settled in the US, conducted the Choir that lasted for over 75 minutes, ably
supported by accomplished musicians from different countries.

Themed after “I And My Father Are One…”, the Choir began with a Ganesha
adoration, “Jaya Jaya Ganaraya…” and the hymns which followed included “Joy To
The World – Hallelujah…”, “Veni, Veni – Emmanuel…”, “Adoramus Te…”, “Unto The
Lamb…”, “Tu Pyaar Ka Sagar Hey…”, “O Holy Night…”, etc.

Befitting the occasion, the Darshan House Of The Lord, the spacious Sai Kulwant
Hall bore unique decoration with colourful Christmas themes parading all over.
Rare, beautiful, artistic paintings on Christmas served as add-ons to the
colourful festive theme. Devotees from the UK worked tirelessly over the week
piecing together their artistic, aesthetic skills decorating the House Of The
Lord on the festive occasion.

Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi.
