Nimish Pandya, All India President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, India took over the stage and briefed about the stupendous project, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi, that was to be launched on this auspicious day.This a massive project taken up by the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation and Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust which is going to revamp the education system in India where mind blowing 900 schools that would be benefitted. Mr. Nimish Pandya explained how Swami started the revamp of education system with the balvikas movement 50 years ago later the Sri Sathya Sai University and how Swami went further and brought in EHV programme which spread all over the world which is now transformed into Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi Programme. Sri. Pandya also briefed about the programme where the objectives will be to upgrade the infrastructure of the schools, Develop individual and national character among students and also empower teachers and children. He said the project will be lead by youth volunteers and supported by the massive army of Sri Sathya Sai sevadal, Mahila (Women) wing and Balvikas Gurus. Sri. Pandya congratulated the Youth wing of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations who are going to play a key role in this project. HOW SUCCESSFUL WILL THIS PROJECT BE?: On a personal note, this is a fantastic project considering the current deteriorating standards of Education system in our society. Considering the large force of active workers in Sri Sathya Sai Organisation especially in India, many states are going to take up this project seriously by identifying the needy schools. There is no dearth for talent, zeal to serve among the Sai active workers and probably our's is the only organisation which has largest number of familied members but have developed a wider approach when it comes to extending "family love" even to the society, courtesy of Swami's teachings. I pray to Bhagawan to bless this noble project which is undoubtedly His inspiration and He knew how well His children would do to live up to His expectations. Later, Sri. Nimish Pandya requested Sri. Venkayya Naidu, current minister of Urban development, housing, poverty eradication and parliamentary affairs of Sri. Narendra Modi led BJP government at the center, to inaugurate the programme. Sri. Venkayya Naidu who also hails from the state of Andhra Pradesh was a frequent visitor to Prasanthi who was seen most of the times with former Prime minister Sri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. After the formal inaugaration of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi project, the Minister thanked Swami for giving this opportunity to be part of such a auspicious project in augaration. He said today happens to be panchayat raj day (the grass root level of administrative system of India which basically deals with villages) and Prime Minister Sri. Narendra Modi had asked all his ministers to be in the villages knowing the problems of the villagers. Mr. Naidu lauded the efforts of Sri Sathya Central Trust for coming up with such a beautiful programme which is true karma yoga. He said Indians have this mindset that government will do every thing and we need not do any thing and such noble participation from the non-government quarters is highly appreciated DEVOTEES FOUND SOLACE IN SATHYA SAI BABA: Amidst big round of applause, Mr. Naidu said I am devotee of Sathya Sai for His seva which none could do like Him in the entire universe. Swami came with a message and delivered the message effectively. Mankind was so fortunate to have such phenomenon happening, every time there was decline in dharma and the Mankind was in dire need for a revamp. He reminded all the devotees as how fortunate we were that we could see Him and listen to Him as we were born in this age. He said Swami didn't come to teach anything new or create any order or religion. His order was to promote unity urging the people to remain in the same religion in which they were born into. Talking of religious conversions, he mentioned conversion changes the social order and creates disorder. He said our tradition is one such tradition which feeds ants with jaggery, snake with milk and where cow is worshipped. The world looked up to Sathya Sai Baba because He gave the solace to the downtrodden, confused, depressed, oppressed and suppresed ones. SWAMI IS ALWAYS WITH US: Mr. Naidu later read out his pre-written speech and I should appreciate the home work he did as he even mentioned quotes from Swami's discourses way back in the year 1963. He continued to say that Swami stressed up on Water care, educare and healthcare. He said he fondly remembers the day when he came along with Sri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the inaugaration of Whitefield super speciality hospital. He reminded all the devotees that Swamiis always with us. Amidst another round of applause from the devotees he said only through service you can have darshan of Swami. He congratulated each and every member of the Sai family for taking the mission of Sai forward because of which Baba's flag is flying high. He particularly mentioned and appreciated all the great souls who are devoting time even afer retirement and said They are retired but not tired. WORDS OF PRAISE FOR THE MAHA NARAYANA SEVA: Sri. Naidu who earlier participated in the Maha narayana Seva in the stadium appreciated the discipline with which the beneficiaries and sevadals conducted themselves during the feeding which he said is a rare thing to see in spite of huge numbers. He said I salute the devotees of Baba. He said the only way we can pay homage is to carry the message of love, affection, concern for the poor taking care of the needy which Baba taught us. He said he had darshan of 40,000 Swamis while participating in the Narayana Seva. On a lighter note he shared a insight, " the parliament sessions are starting from tomorrow. Being a parliamentary affairs minister, my presence was very much needed in the all party meeting that is happening now in Delhi. I choose to visit Puttaparthi rather as I feel rejuvenated. Prime Minster Modi called me this morning and enquired as where i am and when I told him that i am in Prasanthi Nilayam for which he said that's very good. Over all it was a fantastic speech by Sri. Naidu who like many of us was touched by the unsullied love of our beloved Sai mother. Later a short video of a school in remote village called Basal in Himachal Pradesh was played where it showed a glimpse of magic the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi programme did to this school which was re-built, kids provided clothing, stationery and most importantly were inculcated Swami's Education in Human Values. The programme ended with a video discourse of Swami played on the big screen, bhajans, prasadam and arathi.
