Hi Ashely, Yes, I am in Perth strangely enough. There is a Saligao community here? Who knew!!! What a shame the family names turned out to be common ones - to me they sound extremely unusual and exotic!
More than Saligao as a birthplace, I cannot tell you. My great-grandfather's name was "Marinho Sequeira", my great-grandmother was "Candida de Sa". They had 4 sons - Valerian, Bernard, Francis Assis and Marinho (once again, these strike me as weird and unusual first names but I expect to be told I am wrong!) Marinho, more properly Jose Marinho Camilo Caetano, was my grandfather (1908-1976). He moved to Singapore with his brother, Bernard. The other two brothers moved to Bombay. I have no idea what a "Vaddo" is! Ancestry.com has been no help at all in this case neither has the IGI/familysearch site. This is the most underdeveloped branch on my family-tree.
