Me' to be releasedRev. Fr. Manuel Gomes, Director of the Diocesan Centre for 
the Biblical Apostolate and Professor of Pastoral Institute, Old Goa, will be 
the Chief Guest and release Fr. Nascimento Mascarenhas’ fifth book and the 
second in the series entitled ‘Follow Me’. The book release function will be 
held at the St. Pius X. Pastoral Institute , Old Goa on 13th Feb 2009 in the 
evening. Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Rowland Salema, the director of Pastoral Institute 
will be the Guest of Honour and will also read the excerpts from the book. This 
book deals with the study of history of Tiswadi or Ilhas in five chapters 
beginning with the Historico-Geographical, religious and political situation 
both pre and post Portuguese era. The fifth chapter traces the history in brief 
of each church of Tiswadi, its evangelization and a long lists of the Parish 
Priests of each church from the beginning and ending with the Vicars at present 
time with their relevant bio-data. The book also has a map of the Islands 
showing the location of each church with photographs of the old and the present 
churches. The notes, references and bibliography in the body are an added 
motivation to all future historians. The author Fr. Mascarenhas is a well known 
priest and Church Historian who has served in several parishes of Goa as a 
Catholic Pastor during the almost 40 years of his priesthood. Beside, his 
articles are published by various journals and periodical publications in Goa 
both in English and Konkani. He is also a regular a contributor to the 
Saligaonet group and Dor Mhoineachi Rotti. His selected essays earlier 
contributed to the Saligaonet group are now hosted on the website 
www.saligaoserenade.com. At present he is at the St. Francis Xavier Convent,
