Hi Kevin, To reply briefly, I think SaligaoNet is too large (with approx 375 members) to risk it being on unmoderated mode. This list was set up to build social capital for the village and her people, and I would like to avert the risk of unnecessary controversy.
Secondly, I would request you to avoid crossposting SaligaoNet messages to other lists, as it could create a one-sided view of the discussions we are having here. The archives of Saligao-Net is open for those who want to peruse it, and the list was set up for basically for people connected (in some way) with the village. Thanks. However, I still was wondering if you had an explanation for why you felt it was necessary to have our village list moderated. Are you worried that Albert may have to face malpractice liability from the Association of Goan Physicians and Surgeons for offering therapeutic advice on our list? Or that Annette may be monitored by the Islamic media police for her voluminous offerings from the desert? Or that God might strike the GoogleGroups server with a lightening bolt due to my insolence?
