Dear Mr Bonnie first of all, a kind request please DO NOT type in all capitals as it comes across as shouting in nettiquette and also makes it very difficult to read. secondly, what do u mean saligao is a village to follow the blind? kindly explain? to our knowledge, other villages are taking our help in many ways. is it our fault that these panchayet members are being elected? i think not.... why u may ask. i know that for a fact that some of the panchayet members go around handing money to certain familys / migrants in order to come out and vote for hem.. THAT is how they win.
u talk abt dissolving a panchayet.. do u know how diff or easy that is? the pancheyt act is diff from the mla act.. meaning there is a law that states that if a panch member has been cought in an act of illegality, he can be debarred from contesting from elections for 2 terms at least. or if he has a case against him, he CANNOT stand for elctions.. a far cry fom our elected MLA's. and a panch member can only stop being a panch member when he willingly resigns or finishes his term, he is not like an MLA where he can be forced to resign. granted we can pressurise hem though to help them resign, but NO ONE can dissolve them. so we can do something abt it. but when ppl only TALK and dont help in actually, NOTHING can be done. if u have something.. come forward with it and help be a part of the solution, else you are nothing but part of the problem..
