Help CONSUMERS in Goa to be better informed. ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- Workshop on the Restoration and Protection of River Sal. ---------------------------------------------------------- The Benaulim Environment Trust (BET) in collaboration with the Goa Civic and Consumer Action Network (GOACAN) are organising a one day workshop on the Restoration and Protection of River Sal which will be held at the Don Bosco Youth Animation Centre, Benaulim on Sunday 5th July 2009.
The workshop which will be inaugurated by Dr. Simon D'Souza, Chairman, Goa State Pollution Control Board will see the participation of Government Departments, Local Self-Governing bodies, Consumer Forums, NGOs, Lecturers, Students and concerned citizens. The workshop will deliberate on proposals for the improvement of River Sal, the setting up of a Task Force for it's co-ordination and a People's Environment, Sanitation & Waste Management Awareness Campaign during 2009-11 in collaboration with Govt. and non-govt. agencies.
