After ages of acting as if they were asleep, officials of the Town and Country Planning phoned up to say they were planning an inspection on the afternoon of July 8, 2009 to Saligao and needed help in identifying the fields into which mud had been dumped. I mentioned that the same had been identified (by location) in my earlier mail on this, but they still needed "information".
Unfortunately, I'm travelling to Kolkata tomorrow. If anyone could, please get in touch with their office at 2262444, or if you could volunteers to show them around, please message me your numbers privately. Meanwhile, let's all keep up the pressure if we want to keep Saligao the clean and green way we knew it. It's a tough battle, but certainly worth fighting.
