Hi SaligaoNetters

Happy Feast to one & all!

Rico, thanks for the story - we have heard it often but I like to hear it every
time anyway. And yes, there is a message - our elders are to be respected &
provided for. Just spoke to Mum & Fiona & wished them.....from the Office of
course. It's our new week whilst you all are enjoying the weekend. However we
did enjoy our weekend despite the heat which is not as bad as in previous
years....

Being from Donvaddo, this Feast of St. Anne is especially special to me as I
have good memories of the same through the years. After all it has been
celebrated on this date in July if it falls on a Sunday, or on the Sunday
following the 26th. The Chapel is also named after the Saint - Saint Anne's
Chapel. It usually doesnt rain at the time of the procession etc. but starts
pouring after that, wonder if it is the same this year. & I wonder if people
still go back to the Chapel later in the afternoon to buy the mud pots??? I
always accompanied Dad on this particular errand. It was fun donning the
raincoat, carrying the umbrella & walking to the Chapel, then buying the pots
which we seemed to need every year for the plants.

Who is the President this year? Do they have one or is it just each vaddo
celebrating the Feast every year? Have no news of the same.

Have a good day & a good weekend

Regards

Annette
