I want to congratulate another rising Star of Saligao who just returned this week from Japan. Congrats to Miss Geniveve D'Costa from Pequeno Morod, for representing INDIA at International Swimming event in Tokyo, Japan. She represented her country with great pride and spirit for which Saligaocars must be proud of her to share this honour and achievement as a class swimmer. At a tender age of 11 years she has brought great fame to Goa and repute to our Saligao village. To represent India on International arena at such a young age is trully a great accomplishment.
She is the daughter of Mr.Caetan and Mrs. Asula D'Costa, Proprietor of Floritine Bar and Restaurant behind Saligao church, We all have visited his establishment for the famous "KAFREAL" Dish. Music poorly recorded is like exhibitiFng a painting in flickering light. A degree of planning was required and possibly a couple of independently placed microphones going through a 'mixer' (monitored for balance and tone), rather than through the church system. His Sisters are Eliza and Lucy, both ex LCHS pupils. Eliza is married to Carlos my neighbour in Muddavadi. Boy! much time has flown by and so fast. Small babies have grown into great adults already during our absence from our homeland.. Joe and Jeanne live in their own new one storey Bungalow bang opposite their Parents house,situated on the Sangolda CHOG-M highway, on the same side but a little ahead of Barbara Pereira's House (the Late Ex Sapranch of Sangolda).
