Just curious... any LCHS alumni out there in the UK? Lourdes Convent's current principal Sr Antonette Pereira (who follows the long tenure of Sr Lily, who in turn came after Sr Adelaide, and Sr Veronica -- LCHS is indeed lucky to have such committed principals) -- is headed to Cornwall in the UK, on a teacher-exchange programme.
Sr Antonette was due to leave at 1 pm tonight, via Sharjah, but there have been a few hours delay in the flight due to a delay at Dabolim. (Recently, LCHS got involved in a video training programme for children, in collaboration with a UK schools network. Just last night, around midnight, children from the school left on a eight-day north India tour, which have become an optional part of the school holidays in recent times. I know because my daughter Riza, 12, was one of those who left amidst a lot of mid-night excitement and parental concern.) Here's wishing the school all the best...
