Goa: Man sodomizes 10-year-old boy India Blooms News Service Panaji, June 7 (IBNS): A 10-year-old boy was allegedly physically abused by an unidentified man Monday evening.
A senior police officer said the juvenile was allegedly sodomised by the unidentified person in his mid 20s in a thick jungle near Saligao village, 10 kilometers from here. In her complaint, the victim’s mother told the police that the accused forcibly took her son on his motorbike on pretext of taking him to his house to attend a celebration. The accused kidnapped her son in the outskirts of Saligao to the jungle and sodomised him. The minor managed to rescue himself from the clutches of the accused and informed his family after which a complaint was filed. Investigating Officer Mahesh Kerkar said the police are making efforts to trace the accused. A case of sodomy under section 377 of IPC has been registered against the unknown accused at Calangute police station. He is also charged with threatening the accused and slapping the minor. Relevant sections of Goa Children Act 2003 was invoked. The juvenile was subjected to medical examination that found traces of semen in the victim’s private parts. His statement was recorded in the presence of NGO Stop Child Abuse Now, police said.
