11th) is the right person to write about environmental issues. In January 2011, he covered the issue of illegal shipyards on the riverZuari that we were working on. And ofcourse, now the shipyards have to shut down by Aug 18, 2011 as directed by the High Court! They'll most probably go to Supreme Court.....we don't know yet. But we are ready to
take them head-on.Am attaching an article about garbage dumping that I had written three years ago and it had appeared in the newspaper Herald dt. June 11, 2008. It worked. I happened to be in Goa for a few days when this proposal for garbage dump was going on. Orgao is the ward where I live in Loutulim.
