Panaji, Aug 1 (PTI) A Goa government's vehicle was damaged by unknown
persons at the department of science, technology and environment's premises
here, police said today. Calangute police have lodged a complaint that
unknown persons damaged the vehicle belonging to the department at their
office in Saligao village, 10 kms away from here yesterday. While police are
trying to zero in on the accused, Director of Science, Technology and
Environment Micheal D'Souza said, he would not like to attribute any motive
for the attack. "I would not like to comment on it," he said citing that the
police investigations are on in the case. "We have reported the matter to
the police," he said. Police sources stated that the department might have
come under attack because of their action against the illegal structures in
the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ). "We cannot say anything at this juncture.
The detail statement of the director might put some light on the motive," a
police officer said.
