Didn't someone say "Where there is smoke there is a fire?" How many decades elapsed before people realized that smoking was bad for one's health, not only in terms of cancer, but also heart disorders? By the time realization set in it was too late for many, and others are so addicted that they cannot give up the habit. For every issue one can find an "expert" who will tell you that there is no conclusive evidence that that particular issue is dangerous. Even today you will find "experts" who will say that smoking does not endanger one's health. The evidence of danger is almost always circumstantial and only after decades of painstaking record keeping and investigation are conclusions arrived at. By the time a conclusion is arrived at, it is already too late for many. Should one wait for conclusive evidence before taking action, especially when prudent alternatives exist? Or is the lure of a quick buck so overriding, that the people be damned? Granted, there are quacks out there who will find demons behind every rock. But sufficient evidence exists in the body of health knowledge to cast serious doubts about the safety of microwave tele towers. May commonsense and peace prevail in your neighborhood!
