Sorry! Late in sending this message, not at my desk since almost a week - Eid Holidays.. Our condolences to the family of Mr. Cordeiro (what I used to call him anyway). May his soul rest in peace. I also remember him the same way as the rest of you as I passed by on the Arrarim Road as well as meeting him in the verandah of the Saligao Institute every time I was there, which was often. Dilip, I recall that too - but then the mosquitoes in the verandah troubled all of us eh? I think I heard someone say that his eldest daughter (not sure if the name was Marina) at that time or that year, was the first to leave for Bombay because she wanted to do Micro Biology as opposed to the usual BSc. done by others in Goa. To: [email protected] My regret is that in our village too we lack the structures and networks to tap the multiple skills of so many talented folk. Saying a nice word after they've passed is good. But imagine what a place Saligao could be if we could dig into all the post-retirement skills available here. It is really good for us to be aware of the outstanding people Saligao can boast of. My heartfelt condolences to Vincy's family, too. I also remember him well, with that characteristic twinkle in his eye and zest for life. -- Saligao-Net is at http://groups.google.com/group/saligao-net To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe email [email protected] -- Saligao-Net is at http://groups.google.com/group/saligao-net To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe email [email protected]
