[image: Logo Human Rights Day 2012 © OHCHR] <https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UH0JGat2p44#at=13> As villagers, we have - among others - a right to: - clean and hygenic surroundings without filth and garbage. - pure air to breathe, without the dioxins released from burning plastic. - roads, safe from speeding traffic and unlicensed, untrained riders/drivers. - safe drinking water, unpolluted by Calangute's garbage dump on the hill, above the Salmona spring. - enough drinking water, otherwise being stolen from our underground water table, by water sellers in the village. - an atmosphere, free from the risk of Radio Frequencies and Electro Magnetic Frequencies spewed by Mobile Telephone Towers. - safe surroundings for our women and children to move about freely, 24 hours of the day. - no violence against women and children. - a good night's rest, undisturbed by the noise pollution of firecrackers, dances, parties that never end and night clubs, like the one in the east end of the village. - a safe and dignified life for our senior citizens. - a right to be born, especially for the unborn girl child. - access to all public places for our disabled. - *Please add to this list...*and post here. *Let us make our voice count.* Our MLA, CM and MPs are reading us! - ... - ... - ...
