Dear Saligaokaram,

Now Nicholas Sequeira cannot get onto Saligaonet to reply to Fr. Dominic
Sequeira! Looks like anOTHERgoa has become anOTHER*postoffice*!

No problem really. So in the interests of constructive dialogue and
debate, here goes (Nicholas' reply is in *bold italics*)

I have no idea at all about the contents of this heritage programme.

My role solely consisted of introducing Clive Sequeira to the Parish Priest
(PP), Fr. Luciano, because Clive is my cousin's son, who did not personally
know the PP. I do not even know in what capacity Clive came to talk to the
PP.

Because the PP was not there, Clive decided to meet the Asst. PP Fr.
Dominic who was present. The discussions took place only between Clive and
Fr. Dominic. I did not, repeat, did not do any talking on the subject. I
was a silent witness to their conversation.

When Fr. Dominic asked Clive to come back and talk to the PP, I told Clive
to go alone as I was not involved with this matter. Clive then asked me to
get an appointment for him alone, with the PP for this purpose. When I
contacted the PP, he told me to tell Clive to come with a letter concerning
his proposals. This I did. Till today, I do not know if Clive has met the
PP. But one thing is certain, I did not meet the PP with or without Clive
to discuss this matter. *

As such, I have never promoted the Heritage programme either with Fr.
Dominic or with the PP, nor asked for any permissions concerning our
church. I have never "been a party" to it and I have never "defied or
denied the parishioners".

In fact, if I knew that these were the sentiments of the parish clergy, I
would have communicated them to Clive immediately. I have already asked
for this correspondence to be forwarded to him.

I would like to reaffirm that I love my church as much as anyone else and
would not like to see any harm come to it or the parish community. *
