Dear Saligaokaram, All shops selling tobacco products in Saligao, also advertise its consumption. Maybe a drive to request 'posorkars' to stop at least the ads if not the outright sale of those deadly products?
In this regard, we would like to salute our principled neighbours, Dalina & Tony (Pikush) D'Cruz for having the courage not to stock any tobacco product in their little store 'Mystical Rose', attached to their house, here in Sonarbhatt. Truly inspirational...especially considering the money they stand to lose by the direct sale of the killer leaf. They also lose revenue because of the other goods a tobacco user would have bought when buying cigarettes, gutkha, tobacco toothpaste or whatever. In appreciation for keeping our youth and tobacco addicts away from this 'serial killer', and to offset their losses, can we not patronise 'Mystical Rose' some more?
