Dear Muriel and Mario,
Thanks for your email message. I have seen your earlier posts on the
Net. You have made baseless allegations against me as President of the
Saligao Comunidade for not attending the meeting of the Saligao Citizens
Forum that you had organized earlier, in which you expected me to
explain the situation. I was elected by the Gaunkars of Saligao
Comunidade and I am answerable to them till I am in this post. You are
aware as an avid user of the Saligao net, that I have called for an
Emergency Extra Ordinary General Body Meeting of the Comunidade on
Sunday, 01 Sept, to ascertain the views of the Gaunkars. I intend to
act according to their advice and wishes. I have already made my
position clear by my posts on the net and in my detailed article in the
Herald. I have not as yet received the Project Report from the Govt. and
so I have nothing further to tell the gathering. I have an expectation
that the people of Saligao will allow me to fight their battle without
dividing my attention and sort of throwing stones from behind. On the
day after I read the news about the Garbage Treatment Plant in the
Papers I was so cut up that I considered resigning as President. It was
Austin da Gama, Cyril Coelho, Dean D'Cruz, Arvind Coelho, Joaquim Vaz
and a few others who told me not to do so. I respected their advice and
felt that the time has come to stand up and be counted. I intend to do
just that now. Please allow me to do it as I and the Gaunkars think
best. Yes, we need to be united and those giving the advice must be the
first to follow it, rather than denigrate others. God bless you for your
efforts. The last time you spearheaded the Court Case for SCCC I was the
President Saligao Comunidade and we were left out. That is one of the
reasons I resigned from the SCCC in spite of being its Vice President. I
