The GSPCB issuing a consent letter yesterday to set up the proposed garbage 
treatment plant  on Calangute / Saligao plateau despite the plant landfill (the 
most dangerous part) being next to the Salmona spring source and that many 
components of the plant are shown in the quarry itself, shows the great hurry 
and lack of depth in choosing the site. Even while the dialogue is still on, 
the Government chooses to ignore appeals at the cost of endangering the lives
