There was a drive organised by our Sarpanch Eknath wherein the officials of Water Resource Department were present for two full days for the benefit of villagers for advice and to collect duly filled in forms for registration of wells. Thereafter officials have visited the wells to confirm the details mentioned in the forms. Intimation from the department to pay the annual fees is now awaited.
It is mandatory to have domestic wells as well as those wells from which water is drawn for sale registered under the relevant Act. I wonder how many of the water sellers from Saligao have registered their wells !!!!
