Der All,
Peter (Bobo) D' Souza was a real great son of Saligao.always smiling,
always ready to help anyone from the village. His column the Mae De Deus
Church Bulletin will always be remembered for its content and solid good
advice, especially for the young blood of the village. As the Editor of the
Bulletin I never had to remind him to send his piece. It was always there
before time. Thank you Peter for all you have don for us. We will miss you
and will storm our Lad and our Lord to bless your soul and grant you a high
place in your house where you can pray and plead for us all. Sitting in his
Balcony in the last couple of years he always had an encouraging and good
word with almost every passer by. Some days ago I was sitting with him and
discussing the plans of the Comunidade with him. He always had a word off
good advice for me. His reading of people was fantastic. He knew who would
be true and loyal sons of Saligao and carry the burden for others.May your
soul forever rest in peace. My heart goes out to Philoo and the rest o his
family. May they accept this terrible loss with resignation and do Gods
will. One day we will all have to follow him to our other home. I must
share with you what he told me at our last meeting when he hobbled in to
his room and brought an Examiner for me to read. He then told me when I
thanked him, that this may be last time we meet.He had a premonition that
his time had come to go to heaven. I chided him but he was firm. God has
way of telling those he loves that the call is coming. Lets all pray for
this fine soul of Saligao and for the family he has left behind. Gd Bless
Us all of Saligao.
Brig (Rtd) Ian da Costa.
