Our great uncle Dr Rudolf DeMello of Arrarim must have been one of the founder members as his photograph was on the wall next to that of Vittorhino Saldanha when I last visited Saligao about 14 years ago. I know my late father Dr Eugene Menezes and my mother Silvina Menezes of Piqueno Morrod and my brother Orlando ( whenever he visited Saligao) used to play bridge at the institute many years ago.
