*Received via our colleague and friend Helene Dirkin Menezes. Many thanks!
Dr Rudolf DeMello played a role which many still remember here. While
re-publishing here a book called 'Goa Masala', I was happy to encounter a
story about the good doctor and his work. --FN *

Subject: Re: [SALIGAONET] From the Saligao Institute

On behalf of the Menezes family I will be pleased to make a donation of
£200 equivalent to about 20000 rupees in memory of my brother the late
Orlando Menezes. Our great uncle Dr Rudolf DeMello of Arrarim must have
been one of the founder members as his photograph was on the wall next to
that of Vittorhino Saldanha when I last visited Saligao about 14 years ago.
I know my late father Dr Eugene Menezes and my mother Silvina Menezes of
Piqueno Morrod and my brother Orlando ( whenever he visited Saligao) used
to play bridge at the institute many years ago.
Please send me all the details that I require to make the transfer.
Yours sincerely
Dr Armando Menezes
