Dear Children of Mae de Deus , wish you all a very happy feast of Mae de Deus - the high Mass was concelebrated by Our Parish Priest,Assistant Parish Priest ,Fr Almir de Souza , Fr Casmir DMello , Fr George and Fr Victor Ferrao ( Professor Rachol Seminary and Goa University Professor of Humanities /Sociology ) Fr Ferrao in his homily praised Rico Noronha for his book 'Another Goa ' which also speaks about our diminishing Goan families and morals ( we have lost our capacity to replace ourselves...) .The homily rendered by Fr Ferrao was apt to our modern day and age where he warned us especially us youth against the dangers to our family life like growing crimes especially amonst us youth because our families nowadays dont have time for God and family prayer like in the past - as we have been consumed by materialism and other evils like attacks by self-styled pseudo-intellectuals who once prided in calling themselves 'atheists' who have begun enquiring and questioning the concept of ' God ' but many have realised their mistake and foolishness and are returning back to the faith. www.catholicscomehome.org/atheists May our blessed Mother continue to bless us all near and far and enlighten those who have chosen the wrong path and guide us in being humble and teach us to love and forgive one another just like her beloved son and our lord and Saviour who died for each one of us !! God Bless and once again a very Happy Feast Jessel ( Please note this evening there will be a Tiatr near our church and another one on the 6th with many of us from Saligao who will be acting in it . Please come and support us young artistes )

I just got mauled by the Goan Catholic Taliban**. The last person who suffered such a fate is currently in exile in ?Norway for detecting sewage water in an idol's eyes. (Google it!) If you genuinely want to learn from 'Uncle', here's his advice in a nutshell: > Take nothing for granted. Nothing. > Enquire constantly. > Take positive steps to open your eyes and mind, for Religion (and Education) > have invested heavily in keeping them closed. > And in seeking answers, use Google many times a day to access the largest > library ever created. You have time to ' google' but dont have time for the Bible ? Please uncle you should be advising us and setting us an example as we young folks inspite of our many modern age distractions and occupation struggle and try to find time for God HAPPY FEAST UNCLE AND NO HARD FEELINGS PLEASE Jessel ( Remember you cant run away from Gods Love !) Not being terribly well-versed in the language, culture or religion of our late colonial oppressors, I googled the in- vogue greeting 'boas festas' only to discover it means 'Happy Christmas'. Has Christmas moved to the month of May? Pope Francis does seem to be changing things far too quickly. --- Original Message --- From: "joseph Dias" <[email protected]> Sent: 1 May 2014 09:53 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [SALIGAONET] Boas Festas... All. Hi Maxwell, I got your email addressed to Melvin since I’m subscribed to the group and I took this opportunity to inform you of a charity drive we’ve started.. For those of you who cannot make it to this year’s celebration you may still want to donate towards a charitable fund which we are trying to raise through the sale of a beautifully designed mug (see attached pic). It is being sold for only AED. 50. If you or other Saligaoncars want to contribute by buying a mug, your kind act will surely be appreciated. Do let me or Melvin know if you are interested. Also, kindly pass this message on to others on your contact list who may be interested. Boas Festas and blessings!
