The Bookworm team, with the financial support of Maria Aurora Couto and her family, has been doing exceptional work in cultivating the reading habit in Aldona schools. Currently they have their outreach programs in Auxillium Convent and St. Thomas Boys Primary School. For the new school year they have plans for expansion to other schools in Aldona as well as other age groups and not just primary kids. With this in mind they are searching for premises in central Aldona (for convenience) to set up a library which will also function as an office and a space to hold workshops for children beyond school hours. If anybody is aware of a suitable space (shop/flat/house) at a reasonable rent, or preferably free, please contact Sujata Noronha ( [email protected]) or me.
