Dear Saligaokaram, Saligao has its fair share of drug users, dealers - both local and foreigners - and those small village pushers who at this moment are languishing in jail, because they are too poor to bribe their way out.
Our *Charas Building,* was at one time the popular name of a bus stop in Arrarim. Thanks to the legacy left by the 'ippies, who used to use drugs and bathe in the nude there not so long ago, our world famous Salmona Spring, is still used as a chill-out-place by many of Saligao's cool, trippin', with-it young people. With the Rs. 1 crore that our MLA and Tourism Minister is planning to invest there, the spring will soon become internationally infamous, as the most expensive drug joint in the world! And an open invitation to the beach, night drug parties to establish themselves even more in Saligao. We already have one in the West, "where the party never ends!"
