Right now the animal is helping himself to all the greens provided by the bounty of nature and the monsoons. In comparison with what his owner can dish out, it probably is a much better and more balanced buffet that he can pick and choose from, to suit his palate and his dietary needs. So far, he seems healthy with no signs of abuse. He will continue to be a pleasant sight around the village as long as he is well cared for. Talk to Navnath Borkar, the Arrarim panch who lives opposite Teacher Virginia / daughters Lillian, Lorraine, Leandra / husband, late Henry (Cooper) D'Costa's house in Arrarim. Navnath either owns the mule or knows who does. One may have to exhibit a lot of patience and quite some 'consideration' for a transfer of ownership! But it just may work... Best of luck! M&M.
